Country music stars Morgan Wallen and Eric Church have an exciting new project together. But it’s not what you would expect. Keep reading for all the details.
Not Their First Collaboration
Morgan Wallen, known for his infectious blend of classic country, rock, and hip-hop elements, has quickly risen to fame with hits like “Whiskey Glasses” and his multi-platinum album Dangerous: The Double Album. His distinctive voice and raw, emotional lyrics have resonated with a wide audience, earning him a loyal following. The artist recently spoke out about the release of his old music without his consent.
Eric Church, on the other hand, stands as the epitome of outlaw country. With a reputation for pushing boundaries and a penchant for storytelling, Church has carved out his own path in the industry. His songs like “Springsteen” and “Record Year” have become anthems for country music lovers who appreciate his commitment to authenticity and musical innovation.
The pairing of Wallen’s soulful Southern twang with Church’s gritty, no-nonsense approach to country music was on full display at the CMA Awards in November.
They took the stage to perform Morgan Wallen’s hit song “Man Made A Bar.” Eric Church wrote the song for his fellow artist and also featured on it.
Morgan Wallen & Eric Church’s New Project
Morgan Wallen is a huge fan of hunting, fishing, and any outdoor activity. He’s teamed up with Eric Church to revive a country living magazine.
The two were among the investors purchasing Field & Stream magazine from Dick’s Sporting Goods. The magazine was founded in 1871 but went digital-only in 2020.
The country singers plan to bring back the print version, launch a Field & Stream apparel line, and create a live musical festival.
Eric Church and Morgan Wallen are already slated to perform as headliners at the Stagecoach festival in April.
According to Rolling Stone, magazine subscribers will have “three tiers ranging from $15 to $95 annually” to choose from. The subscription will “provide online access to new stories about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, and the F&S archives.”
Morgan Wallen took to his Instagram to share how personal the magazine acquisition is to him.
The post includes a video featuring images from previous editions of Field & Stream. The video also shows the two singers fishing together.
He captioned the video, “There’s nothin’ I love more than being with friends around a campfire, on a boat or in a deer stand – and Field & Stream represents all of those to me. Being part of its future is incredible and we want to keep bringing people together outdoors, makin’ memories, for generations to come.”
