Kelsea Ballerini recently reflected on her best country album. Kelsea released Rolling Up The Welcome Mat which is about her marriage and divorce with singer Morgan Evans. The relationship was toxic, messy, and everything in between. However, Kelsea looks back on that as a growing experience and is living her best life at the moment. She has found a new love for actor Chase Stokes and the two have been together over a year and are still going strong. Fans love the two together and love how he supports her through music about an ex.
Kelsea Ballerini And Chase Stokes
The couple has been together for over a year now. Fans are absolutely in love with them. Chase Stokes is best known for his role on Outer Banks. The two met when Kelsea slid into his DM’s. Ever since they have been inseparable. Chase has been at all of Kelsea Ballerini’s shows supporting her. She even changed some lyrics to fit him, and fans loved it. In an Instagram post, Ballerini teased a new love song that seems to be inspired by Stokes.
“To the man that loved this woman after heartbreak, thanks for all you didn’t have to do/When I met you I was jaded, sad and complicated/You’ll never know how much I needed you.”
Kelsea announced she is working on new music and fans think this album will be lovey-dovey and they are here for it.

The Singer Reflects On Her Best Album
Kelsea went into detail on how her album Rolling Up The Welcome Mat changed her life. She let fans know that she was not going to stray away from being vulnerable when writing music ever again. She learned a lot about herself and her abilities while writing the album.
“I made it very selfishly … quite literally emotionally because I had to,” the singer-songwriter explains of the project featuring songs like “Penthouse,” “Blindsided” and others. “I put my dog’s name and addresses and receipts, and all these things, and it connected more than anything else I’ve ever put out.”
Kelsea Ballerini needed to relate to this for herself.
“The thing that I learned that I just really hold closely now is there’s no amount of truth telling or detail that will make it not relatable, I think for a long time, even though I was writing about my life and my emotions, I would try to round the edges, because I’m like, ‘I want everyone to feel themselves in this,’ or see themselves in the story.”

It seems as though Kelsea is eternally grateful for everything this album has brought her. She has helped people relate to her feelings through her music and has helped people move on from toxic relationships. Although Ballerini did not expect the album to be so popular, she mainly wrote it to heal some inner feelings. However, she has moved mountains with her songwriting. How do you like her album? Are you excited for her to come out with new music? Do you think she will take a similar songwriting approach to it? Sound off in the comments below.
