Unreleased Collab
In addition to performing a Miranda Lambert hit, the two performed an unreleased song they wrote together. The song is called “Good Horses,”.
Wilson was a recent guest on Audacy’s Totally Private show. The “Heart Like A Truck” singer dished on her first-ever Grammy nominations. She earned nods in the Best Country Album category and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Save Me,” her duet with Jelly Roll.
Fans can tune in to the Grammys this Sunday, February 4, on CBS at 8 PM Eastern to see if she wins.
In addition to talking about her award nominations, the singer shared more details about her collaboration with Miranda Lambert.
They performed the song together in December but actually wrote it months earlier. She visited Miranda Lambert’s farm along with songwriter Luke Dick for a writing session.
Lainey Wilson revealed that the farm is also where Miranda Lambert and Luke Dick wrote the song “Bluebird.”
“As we were writing the song, three bluebirds flew up. And, when they were writing ‘Bluebird’ three bluebirds had flew up, too” she said during the interview.
Wilson took that as a sign that they were writing a “really special” song together. She shared footage of the Vegas performance on social media. Give the song a listen.
