Luke Bryan recently got fellow American Idol judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie together for an entirely different kind of outing. Perry and Richie lose it as they take in Bryan’s peanut farm in an exclusive clip. What else does this teaser reveal?
American Idol Judges Take It On The Road
Typically, American Idol judges like Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan spend the majority of their time in the judge’s chairs while filming. Whether they are critiquing auditions or the live shows, there’s a lot of sitting around in the studio in front of cameras, bright lights, and audiences.
The latest American Idol spoilers for this Sunday’s episode show something completely different. Luke Bryan takes Lionel Richie and Katy Perry on a road trip to see his family’s peanut farm. Judging by the preview for upcoming scenes, Perry and Richie more than go nuts for all those peanuts.
Exclusive Look At Luke Bryan Family Peanut Farm
Of all the things Luke Bryan has accomplished in his career, many of his fans may not know that his dad owns and operates a peanut farm in Leesburg, Georgia. For Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, who are used to the bright lights and finer things in cities like Los Angeles, being out on the farm is certainly a culture shock for these two.
Luke Bryan is at home out in the country. His fellow judges don’t quite share his enthusiasm for the outdoors. It was still important for Bryan to be able to share that experience with them.
Luke Bryan says in the American Idol teaser: “I was very proud to be able to take Lionel and Katy to our mill there in Leesburg where I grew up.”
Katy Perry And Lionel Richie Go Nuts For Peanuts
Bryan made sure to put Katy Perry and Lionel Richie to work on the farm. It makes for some entertaining television to witness this city meets farm clash. This segment brings to mind other popular shows like Farmer Wants A Wife. It even brings to mind a show that Lionel Richie’s daughter Nicole Richie was on years ago with Paris Hilton. The show was called The Simple Life.
This little excursion is also a nice look at Luke Bryan’s old life. Before he made it big, and before he started selling out stadiums. In his early 20s, Bryan used to put in 12-14-hour days working on his dad’s farm.
One thing Bryan fans love about him is, that no matter how successful he gets, he never forgets where he came from. Luke Bryan always stays grounded and remembers his roots. This short segment from the upcoming American Idol episode is a hilarious way for Bryan to share that with his fellow judges, and it certainly makes for good TV.
