Garth Brooks was really looking ahead this time. He and his wife, the “She’s In Love With The Boy” singer, Trisha Yearwood, have covered as many bases as possible when it comes to Brooks’ new bar in Nashville, Tennessee. They have the booze. They have a dance floor. And, yes, they even have a fully-staffed police substation next door.

The New Nashville Police Substation

Right next door to Garth Brooks’ new bar, The Friends In Low Places Bar, is a brand new police substation. He and his wife paid to have the substation built there.

“I want it to be a place you feel safe in. I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another,” Brooks stated. “And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are.”

Is Garth Brooks Expecting Trouble?

Garth Brooks might be expecting some trouble, seeing he went to the trouble of paying for a police substation to be built next to his bar. Folks have to wonder if he is expecting a “better class of losers,” as his megahit song, “Friends In Low Places” talks about.

Of course, it could have something to do with all of the controversy over the types of beverages Brooks will be serving. Just when the world thought all the beer troubles were over, Brooks built a police substation in Nashville, Tennessee.

Garth Brooks And The Beer Controversy

The “To Make You Feel My Love” singer did not make a lot people happy when he announced his plans to serve Bud Light at his new bar. Fans of Garth Brooks did not approve of his choice do to the Bud Light commercials featuring a transgender influencer. He took a lot of heat (and hate) for that.

Brooks wasn’t the only one getting the heat and hate. Bud Light suffered a significant blow as well for making the choice to use a transgender influencer in their commercials. It appears both have bounced back.

Garth Brooks Pays Back Nashville

Despite all the controversy over the Friends In Low Places Bar, Brooks claims the new police substation is a way to pay back Nashville.

“This town has been amazing to me,” Brooks stated. “When this [opportunity] popped up, the thought was, does Garth Brooks owe Nashville? You bet Garth Brooks owes Nashville.”

Nashville certainly had a hand in creating the “Rodeo” singer. Without Nashville and country music, Brooks would probably still be singing in pizza parlors in Oklahoma City and college dive bars in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The world would have missed out on all of the great music he has created during his country music career.

Tell us what you think. Is building a police substation next to a bar a good idea? Why do you think Garth Brooks did it? Do you think there will be trouble there because of his choice to serve Bud Light? Sound off in the comment section below.
