Miranda Lambert Teases New Album Is ‘Honky Tonk As H*ll’
Miranda Lambert has spent the last year and a half entertaining fans who traveled all the way to Las Vegas to see her. The country singer was one of many artists taking up residency at one of Sin City’s casinos. Since the residency’s 2022 debut, the “Gunpowder and Lead” singer has performed almost 50 shows at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater.
And she’s not done yet! She’s likely to head back out on the road later this year to support her upcoming album. Miranda Lambert chatted with Us Weekly earlier this month about her recent career move. She signed with Republic Records and Big Loud in April.
She released the first single from her forthcoming album on May 3. According to Miranda Lambert, the tune “Wranglers” gives listeners a taste of her new album, which will be her tenth studio album.
“I feel like it’s one of the most ‘me’ records I’ve ever made,” she told the outlet. “It’s really a kind of a time capsule of all of the music that’s inspired me, and it’s honkey tonk as h*ll,” she added.
Music isn’t the only thing that’s inspired the “House That Built Me” singer.
Miranda Lambert Credits 2 Special People For Who She Is Today
The country music star doesn’t have any children herself. She married Brendan McLoughlin in 2019 after divorcing Blake Shelton four years earlier. The country singer took to Instagram on Mother’s Day 2024 to honor two special people in her life.
“Happy Mother’s Day to these two beautiful ladies,” she wrote. The first photo she shared was a snapshot of her mother, whom she tagged in the post.
But her mother wasn’t the only one she wanted to honor on the special day.
Who Else Got A Shout-Out
Miranda Lambert shared a second photo of a blonde woman wearing sunglasses. The photo was from the singer’s trip overseas last year. “And the woman that has loved me as her own for 21 years, my manager @marionkraft,” she wrote in the sweet tribute.
The singer added, “Without both of you in my life, I would never be the woman I am today. Love you both so much.”
