Miranda Lambert has a super busy summer. She is working on a new album and released a song from the Twisters movie soundtrack. The singer took to her Instagram earlier this week to reveal the inspiration behind “Dammit Randy,” a song from her upcoming album.
While chatting about the song, she dropped some major tea about how her husband of five years contributed to the album. Miranda Lambert revealed that her husband got co-writing credit on the song and he won’t stop mentioning it to her.

Co-writing a song with Miranda Lambert could earn anyone a huge payday. Most of her songs go directly to the top of the charts. Getting a co-writing credit on “Dammit, Randy” could bring in the big bucks for McLoughlin.
According to Life & Style, he could earn as much as $200,000 or even more in royalties. Miranda Lambert didn’t reveal if he helped write some of the other songs on her album coming out sometime this year. In fact, she hasn’t shared many details about the new album at all, except to say that it was the most authentic music she’s ever done.
The money could come in handy if the rumors are true about trouble in the marriage after he was caught dirty dancing with another woman at Miranda Lambert’s Nashville bar.
