Post Malone’s first country album drops this month. He’s slated to perform at the Grand Ole Opry with a few special guests. Keep reading to find out more about the rapper’s Grand Ole Opry debut and which iconic country singers will join him.

Rapper Post Malone Takes On Country Music

Post Malone made a name for himself for his rap music. He made a surprise appearance at the 57th annual CMA Awards in November 2023. He joined Morgan Wallen and Hardy in a tribute to the late country singer Joe Diffie, who died in 2020. The rapper joined them for performances of Diffie’s hits, “John Deere Green” and “Pickup Man.”

Could Post Malone be among the nominees for the 2024 CMA Awards? It is entirely possible. Fans immediately began begging the rapper to record and release a country music album after his collab with Wallen and Hardy.

Fans asked and Post Malone listened. His first country album, “F-1 Trillion,” comes out on August 16, 2024. But listeners have already had a chance to hear a few of the songs. He teamed up with Blake Shelton at the CMA Fest to debut their collab on “Pour Me A Drink.”

Post Malone’s song featuring Morgan Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” quickly shot to the top of the charts.

Days before his album release, Post Malone will take the stage at the iconic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. The Opry’s official social media accounts shared a video of Brad Paisley extending an invitation to the rapper-turned-country artist.

“Hey, Post. Brad, here. So, what I’m about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think, knowing you and knowing the respect you have for country music and this journey that you’re embarking on now as a hillbilly singer — which is gonna be massive and remarkable and amazing for both country music and you.”

“Would you like to play the Opry?” Paisley asked.
