But the tour was disrupted in 2024 after Willie Nelson was forced to miss seven shows at the advice of his doctor. The singer never revealed why he had to miss the shows.
The tour is back this summer, just in time for new music from the iconic performer. Oh What A Beautiful World came out on Friday April 25. The album is a tribute to country songwriter Rodney Cromwell, who features on the album. It is Willie Nelson’s 77th solo album.
His Wife Reacts To Claims He Needs A Caretaker
At 91, Willie Nelson is a country music icon. He will celebrate his 92nd birthday on April 29. While he continues to make new music, the singer has been plagued by rumors of poor health for years.
AXS TV fueled speculation about the “On The Road Again” singer’s health. The channel took to Instagram to share a picture of Willie Nelson, his wife, Annie D’Angelo, and their son, Lukas. Lukas Nelson is a musician and took his father’s place on the Outlaw Music Festival when Willie couldn’t perform.
“Lukas Nelson takes pride in taking care of 91-yr-old dad, Willie Nelson & 63-yr-old mom, Annie D’Angelo. Lukas makes sure mom & dad are comfortable and living their best life after many long years of making rad music,” the outlet captioned the photo.

But according to Willie Nelson’s wife, little of that is true. She accused the outlet of making stuff up. Annie D’Angelo cleared up the confusion in a comment. She said that while Lukas is always there for them, she takes care of Willie Nelson.
She also called AXS TV out for not fact-checking the ages. While Willie Nelson is 91, she’s actually 68, not 63 as the post claimed.
“Always On My Mind” Singer’s Dramatic Love Life
Annie D’Angelo is Willie Nelson’s fourth wife. The couple have been married since 1991, which is the longest he stayed married to his previous wives.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Willie Nelson’s second marriage ended in scandal. His second wife found out that he was having an affair after a hospital bill came in the mail for the baby his mistress had.
“There was friction with my other wives. But it seems like Annie and I did okay with each other. It takes a special person to live with me,” Willie Nelson told PEOPLE magazine in 2023 about his marriage of more than three decades to Annie D’Angelo.
