A famed country singer just had to cancel their tour due to their declining mental health. This has not been an easy time, but they wanted to be open and honest with fans. So, what did they have to say, and was it well received? Keep reading for more details.
Tour Canceled Due To Mental Health Struggles
Mental health is no joke, and it is something that needs to be taken seriously. Oftentimes, those who are extremely creative can overwork themselves. This can lead to burnout, which may be ignored simply for the craft. Such is the case with a famed country singer. They have been around for over a decade and have poured their heart and soul into music. Unfortunately, it had taken a toll on them, and they have made the heartbreaking decision to step back from touring.
Colter Wall, 30, had over twenty tour stops for 2026, which began in January. However, he realized that he could not finish what he had started and released a statement just one day ago. Colter shared that he was “mentally unwell.” He went on to add:
Despite this, I have pushed myself to continue with touring. As a result my mental health has only further declined.
Therefore, he has made the decision to cease touring and will be on an “indefinite hiatus.” It appeared that the tour was nearing the end anyway, but it is unclear if he had planned a second leg later on in the year. Regardless, Colter had abruptly canceled his Sunday, March 8th, performance in Evansville, Indiana, shortly before he was set to go on.

After announcing he was stepping back from touring, Colter turned off comments on his post. It was clear that he did not want any backlash. However, fans would likely have been supportive given that he was transparent about his mental health.

Hopefully, Colter can get his mental health on track and find his way back to his passion, if that is what he wants. Either way, we are rooting for him and are proud that he is taking the proper steps.
