Garth Brooks is doing what so many artists going on tour need and should be doing. He is stopping ticket sales when he sees it becoming an issue with bots taking over. This was the case with his recent Kansas City stop, but what will happen next? Keep reading for more details.
Garth Brooks Has Had Enough
There once was a time when people just could call up Ticketmaster, say the show they wanted to see, and buy tickets then and there. It was a much simpler time, and there was not much risk of upselling. Of course, there were scalpers, which is not actually illegal, and many fans depended on them as a last resort. However, the reselling of online tickets has taken over, and it has made general sales nearly impossible. Garth Brooks is preparing for the next leg of his 2026 Blame It All on My Roots Arena Tour.

Unfortunately, when sales opened for the Kansas City, Missouri shows on Friday, October 23rd, things got messy. There will be three shows for KCMO, but ticket sales were quickly halted when Garth Brooks realized bots had taken over. He was worried about what had happened and how they were crashing the sale:
The bot situation is out of hand. It’s been progressively getting worse on this tour. With that said, my concern is for the people who managed to buy tickets today for the third show in Kansas City before the bots crashed the on sale. I will personally look into what can be done. You have my word that all that can be done will be done. You have my deepest apologies for the results and my most sincere appreciation for your efforts today. love, g

Immediately, fans were thankful that he was taking this seriously as opposed to other artists. At the same time, followers blamed Ticketmaster for allowing this to continuously happen. It seems that this has been an epidemic, and there is no way to slow it down:
- If you were using Ticketmaster and believed anything other than that was going to happen, then this issue is on you
- Ticketmaster is the biggest scam this world has ever seen right behind the IRS. Buy venue direct whenever possible.
Back To The Good Ole Days
Garth Brooks fans wanted to go back to the good old days of manual tickets, buying them at stores and camping. They felt that this was too much work, too expensive, and far too risky. Others appreciated how much Garth cared about his fans and wished that every artist was this invested:
- We love an artist who loves their fans this deeply.
- Garth, I am so glad you are doing this
One fan asked if there was an update, as they had not heard anything since their card had been charged. Hopefully, everyone who wants to see Garth Brooks gets to enjoy him properly. He has attempted to sell tickets at a proper and affordable price and has remained committed to that.
Are you happy that this is happening and he is attempting to put a stop to bots? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
