One thing’s for certain, Country Music Queen, Maren Morris takes COVID-19 seriously. This is evidenced by her claims about Country Legend, Charley Pride’s death. However, the Country star takes things one step further.
Maren Morris cancels her RSVP tour.
Earlier this weekend, People reports that “The Bones” singer cancels her RSVP tour. Consequently, this is due to the uncertainty an ongoing international health crisis poses. Thanks to COVID-19 the Grammy winner releases a statement about the tour cancellation. Morris says, “With the prospect of, yet again, rescheduling half of the dates already becoming a reality, I have decided to cancel the RSVP tour.”

Is new music any consolation?
Marren Morris goes on to say in her statement, “I truly appreciate your patience on this.” In closing, she announces that she is working on her third record. Morris also tells People that she’s been writing a lot since her son, Hayes has been born. “I feel a little bit freer writing now because there’s no deadline; there’s no timeline.
In an interview with People Morris highlights how the pandemic affects the music industry. “It really is a tough hit for our industry,” she says of the pandemic. Heartwarmingly, she goes on to say, “I miss seeing a bunch of people come together for a positive cause and, no matter what walk of life you’re coming from, to stand in a room with a bunch of strangers that just want to hear live music and their favorite song.” Additionally, she writes, “I hope we can all come together and enjoy live shows safely again soon.”
Never fear, it seems she’ll still perform.
While it seems pretty ominous that stars are still regularly canceling their concerts due to the coronavirus, Maren Morris is among the few thinking outside the box to get performances to their fans. For example, in October, Morris performs in an all-female virtual concert series. According to People, the series was for members of Verizon’s customer loyalty program, Verizon Up.
When it comes to playing virtual events, a few things about the concept seem to excite Maren Morris. While she notes that these sorts of events are “an amazing opportunity,” two other things come to mind. She says, “I can’t wait to see my band again.” However, she adds that it is “the safest, weirdest way we can.” Relatably, Morris also says, “I just hope I remember all my words – it’s been a while!”
