Blake Shelton Wants to Lose Weight Before Marrying Gwen Stefani
Recently, Country Music Alley reports on a few of the things Blake Shelton wants to accomplish before Gwen Stefani walks down the aisle to him. One of those things being, losing weight. According to an interview on Party Barn Radio with Luke Bryan, Shelton hopes to accomplish this goal before the wedding. At the time of the interview, Shelton gives a vague timeframe of “sometime in 2021.”
Consequently, the most specific thing Blake Shelton says while speaking with Luke Bryan is the amount of weight he wants to lose. “I feel like if I say 10, I have to do it. So, 10,” shares Shelton. Shelton Doesn’t Want to Strive Towards His Goal Without an End Date in Mind
However, People reports that Blake Shelton hasn’t started losing weight yet. “I am going to lose weight for the wedding, but we don’t know when that’s going to be so why should I start,” says Shelton. In an interview with Stephen Colbert, he elaborates on his thought process. “I feel like if you say something like that on a public forum then you have obligated yourself to make sure that it gets done,” says Shelton.
However, he goes on to say that there isn’t a rush because the wedding is currently being held off. Now that the Catholic Church has officially annulled Gwen Stefani’s first marriage to Gavin Rossdale, she and Shelton can have a Catholic wedding. So it seems that the only thing standing between the couple and the alter is the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Being able to safely have a ceremony is something that is very important to the couple.
