Things are heating up behind the scenes for Blake Shelton and his wife, Gwen Stafani, and not in a romantic way. There seems to be some tension in the relationship with Gwen’s new friendship with Carly Pearce. Shelton is beginning to feel left out because supposedly the two have practically been tied at the hip. According to Delilah Gray, an author on Yahoo, the couple has “allegedly been bickering about a reality show and going to couples counseling..” Is Blake Shelton’s envy out of line here?

What Is Really Happening Between Gwen And Carly?

Surely Blake Shelton is not upset for no reason. So what is actually taking place here? The couple’s trust must run deep, as they have been together for almost 8 years. That seems to be up for debate now. 

Gwen Stafani got super close to Carly Pearce after a breakup between Carly and Riley King. They go out all the time and have really bonded. Aaron Johnson of Radar Online goes as far as stating “Carly, 33, hasn’t held back when expressing her fondness for Gwen, 53.” 

Carly states, “I’ve gotten to know her pretty well being on tour with Blake and she just is a true fan of songwriting, just like me. Just to be able to come together and have a real moment with somebody that you’ve gotten to know — it’s not just a collaboration out of nowhere — it’s going to be fun.”

So What Is The Issue?

Blake Shelton is upset by all of this because Carly was his friend first. Gwen Stefani would not have had the chance to bond with her newfound BFF if it were not for Blake. Although Shelton has not made a huge scene about this issue, he has been venting his frustration to some so-called friends. However with this information leaked, who knows what drama awaits that friendship? It is unknown who sourced the news that Shelton was upset, but they even went as far as labeling him as “seething.”

When Did Blake Shelton Meet Carly Pearce?

Previously, Blake Shelton and Carly Pearce have also toured together for their 2018 Country Music Freaks Tour. The two obviously have tagged along with each other during different phases of life, and it is no debate that Carly was in fact Blake’s friend first. 

Previous Incident With Blake Shelton’s Jealousy

This is not the only event to make Blake Shelton jealous. Back in October 2022, Gwen Stefani made a comment about a singer on The Voice named David Andrew. She stated, “David, you know I wanted you bad,” Gwen gushed. “I fought for you, I turned for you, your voice is so pretty.” Luckily the event blew over quickly, as it was all said in good fun. It is simply just something to chew on.
