Reba McEntire had an epic comeback to Gwen Stefani’s attempt to one-up her. What did she say that has her fans calling her Queen Reba?
Reba McEntire Enjoys Overseas Vacay With New Love
Reba McEntire might have a long and successful career, but she’s not been so successful in love. She was previously married to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987. Her marriage to Narvel Blackstock ended in 2015 after over 20 years together. At the time, she was surprised by his decision to end her marriage.
It’s through her second marriage that Reba McEntire was related to Kelly Clarkson. The American Idol winner married Blackstock’s son in 2013, making the “Take It Back” singer her step-mother-in-law.
However, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s marriage ended in 2020. That same year, Reba McEntire began her romance with Rex Linn. He was even her co-star on Season 3 of Big Sky, playing her on-screen husband.
Sadly, Big Sky was canceled and won’t return for another season, but Reba McEntire and her new love are still going strong.
The two recently took a much-needed vacation to Italy. She shared a few photos with her Instagram followers, including the snap below of her cuddling up with Linn.
Everything We Know About Season 24 of The Voice
Fans of NBC’s show The Voice were devastated in late 2022 when Blake Shelton announced he was leaving his post as judge of the singing competition. He was the last original judge from the show’s 2011 debut.
However, sorrow turned to joy when Reba McEntire was announced as his replacement. She will join John Legend, Niall Horan, and Gwen Stefani as judges for the upcoming season. As fans likely know, Gwen Stefani married Blake Shelton in 2021 after meeting on The Voice in 2014.
The new season of The Voice premieres on Monday, September 25, on NBC. A new teaser trailer has fans calling Ms. McEntire a “Queen.”
Reba McEntire Takes Down Gwen Stefani With Epic Comeback
Or maybe the “I’m A Survivor” singer gave herself the moniker. In the very first moment of the teaser clip, she dons a crown. The words “All Hail The Queen” flash on the screen later in the short video.
At one point in the promo, Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire go toe-to-toe. It’s unclear what prompted the remarks, but at one point, Gwen quips, “I’ve had two country hits,” referring to the songs “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You,” which she released with her husband, Blake.
Always quick with the wit, the “Fancy” singer doesn’t miss a beat when she retorts, “I’ve had more than two.” Good Housekeeping notes that the “Does He Love You” singer actually had 60 hits on the Billboard Music Charts.
The new Voice judge shared the clip to her Twitter account, and fans couldn’t help but laugh at the exchange.
“My money’s on you Reba!!,” one fan wrote. Another said, “Can’t wait! I think this season of The Voice will be the best season yet.”
A third fan said they’d be tuning in just for Reba: “I might have to start watching the Voice just because of you!”
