The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, with past performances by legendary acts like Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Katy Perry. While the NFL has yet to make an official announcement, rumors are swirling that Post Malone could be the headlining act for the 2025 show.  Keep reading for more.

Where Is The 2025 Super Bowl?

The 2024-25 NFL season kicks off in less than three weeks. The season kicks off on Thursday, September 5, in Kansas City, when the reigning champs take on the Baltimore Ravens. The regular season will end in early January, and then playoffs begin.

Super Bowl LIX will be on Sunday, February 9, 2025. It will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The NFL is months away from announcing the headliner for the Halftime show, but some fans think it could be Post Malone.

Post Malone Could Bring Country Back To Halftime Show

Hopping between music genres is nothing new. Longtime country music legend Dolly Parton released a rock album in 2023. Jelly Roll is having a moment in country music after years of being a rap artist. Now, Post Malone is hoping to follow those successful examples with the release of his first country album.

F-1 Trillion came out earlier this week to rave reviews. It helps that Post Malone collaborated with some of the biggest names in country music on the album, including both Dolly Parton and Jelly Roll. He also got a hand from Hank Williams Jr., Lainey Wilson, and Blake Shelton, to name just a few.

The 18-track album might be enough to propel Post Malone to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show. Whiskey Riff makes a convincing case that the famous singer could help bring country music back to the Halftime show after years of pop, rap, and R&B artists.

The last time country music dominated the Halftime show was in 1993 when Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, and The Judds took the stage. Shania Twain co-headlined with Sting and No Doubt in 2003. The Chicks performed the National Anthem.

Other Possible Headliners

Post Malone isn’t the only one in the running for the Super Bowl 2025 Halftime show. According to PEOPLE magazine, Miley Cyrus is another strong contender. Other possibilities include Taylor Swift, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, Olivia Rodrigo, and Drake.
