Wynonna Judd Details ‘Simple & Sweet’ Life

It has been anything but easy for Wynonna Judd over the last three years. In April 2022, her mother, Naomi Judd took her own life. This came after the ladies announced that they were going back out on tour as The Judds. It was a huge deal for their fans as they had not toured in a very long time so this was highly anticipated. Sadly, Naomi’s demons got the best of her after many years of suffering. Wynonna decided to continue the tour as opposed to canceling it in honor of her mother.

More so, she brought along some of the best acts in country to help support her along the way. It was not easy but fans loved hearing and seeing Wynonna every night. Sadly, Wynonna also had to deal with her daughter, Grace Kelley’s legal issues. She was getting arrested constantly but had a sweet little daughter, Kaliyah, who needed love. That was where Grandma Wynonna stepped up. She has taken over the maternal role for the time being and shared what life is like with her granddaughter.

According to People, Wynonna was a guest host on Jenna & Friends. The two were talking about children’s shows and which ones their littles liked. The sixty-year-old shared this detail of her life:

I don’t have a computer. I don’t watch television unless it’s planned ‘cause I’m raising my 2½-year-old granddaughter, I listen to her. So I don’t really, I do a lot of Instagram.

She added that Kaliyah likes Ms. Rachel which has caused her to nearly lose her mind. At the end of the day, Wynonna lives on a farm and her life is just simple:

My life on the farm is simple and sweet, which is what we need more of. We don’t do phones at dinner. And I do what I have to do to learn how to just live off the road. ‘Cause I was on the road at 17, so I never got to learn how to do life outside of showbusiness.

A Bittersweet Moment

Kaliyah has truly filled a hole in Wynonna Judd’s heart as she arrived sixteen days before Naomi Judd died. It was a blessing in disguise that she had no idea she needed. Wynonna soon realized that she needed to take care of herself better than ever as she wanted to be the best she could be for her granddaughter. Now, she has been incredibly present for Kaliyah and the stabilizing factor in her life. No matter what happens, she knows she has Grandma Wynonna and they will continue to have a “sweet and simple” life.
