Gwen Stefani showed off her cleavage in a voluminous ombre gown. The No Doubt singer stepped out on a date with her husband Blake Shelton. On Saturday night, the two attended the 48th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala. Both of them looked stunning in their red carpet looks.
Gwen slipped into a Nicole + Felicia gown that had a white tank-top style bodice with a tulle skirt that faded from white to pale yellow to darker shades of green. Gwen’s breasts overflowed in the sleeveless top that had a plunging neckline and thick straps. Her gown reminded fans of her former wedding dress.
Gwen Stefani wore a dip-dyed dress before
In the late ’90s and early 2000s, dip-dyed and ombre were all the rage. Also, Gwen Stefani was a trendsetter at the time. In 2002, she married her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The couple were together for 20 years and married for 13. In 2016, they finalized their divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The former couple shares three sons Kingston, 16, Zuma, 13, and Apollo, 8. Fans remember when Gwen Stefani got married the first time around. She wore an iconic dip-dyed wedding dress that featured white on top that faded into magenta at the hem. John Galliano, who worked for Christian Dior at the time, designed the dress himself. Check out that wedding dress for yourself here.
Gwen Stefani paired the look with an antique lace veil and a pink bow on one shoulder. At the time, she sported her trademark rockabilly hairstyle and red lipstick. On July 3, 2021, Gwen married Blake Shelton in an intimate ceremony. She wore two custom Vera Wang gowns for the event, both of which were a far cry from her first wedding dress.
She wore a full-length gown for her special day along with a cascading veil that matched the tulle skirt. Gwen paired the look with cowboy boots and her signature red lipstick. For the reception, the “Slow Clap” singer changed into a custom mini Vera Wang gown that had a plunging neckline, fitted bodice, and tulle skirt. She finished off the look with a veil that featured a huge white bow on her head.
Did she recreate her first wedding dress?
As Country Music Alley previously reported, fans think Gwen Stefani paid tribute to Blake at the 2022 Met Gala. She wore a chartreuse two-piece gown that was designed by Vera Wang. For her date night with Blake, Gwen gave fans a major dose of nostalgia.
She wore another dip-dyed dress to the event that honored legendary actress Julie Andrews. Just like her first wedding dress, Gwen’s gown had a dip-dyed tulle skirt. She finished off the look with a sleek updo, a diamond necklace, and white platform boots. However, fans couldn’t help but notice how similar the dress looked to her first wedding gown.
