Per Rolling Stone, the Zac Brown Band served as Dolly Parton’s band throughout her performance. They backed her for “Jolene” and for the other musicians that were there. Sheryl Crow joined Dolly for a special performance of “9 to 5” and Brandi and Pink joined her for the song “Coat of Many Colors.”

At first, Dolly didn’t feel that she belonged in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She asked to be removed from her status. Her name trended on Twitter because of her statement. Fans couldn’t believe how humble the legendary singer-songwriter was about her new accolade.
Why the “Jolene” singer bowed out
Thankfully, Dolly Parton eventually came around and accepted it. She told NPR that she would “accept gracefully.” Dolly just had one requirement for her big performance on Saturday night. She wanted to perform alongside her famous friends.
Dolly also made her entrance into the rock world with her new song “Rockin’,” which she performed with the Zac Brown Band. The pop culture icon wanted to make sure she looked the part and sounded the part of a rockstar. This is a once-in-a-lifetime night since Dolly quit touring the country.
“If I’m going to go in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m going to have to earn it,” Dolly Parton told the audience. “And you thought I couldn’t rock and roll.”
This comes amid rumors that Dolly may release her first-ever rock album. She will still play concerts, but she won’t headline a major tour. The 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees included Carly Simon, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie, and Pat Benatar. The show will stream on Saturday, November 19 on HBO Max.
