Carrie Underwood is one of the most successful country music artists of all time, but her husband Mike Fisher is a major success in his own right. In a recent social media post, Carrie praised her husband after he received a high honor and showed how proud she is of him as well.

Carrie Underwood took to Twitter to praise her husband, Mike Fisher, after he received a great honor in Tennessee. The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame inducted Mike into its hallowed halls this year. While sharing a post by the Hall of Fame, which tagged Carrie Underwood as well, she responded to the moment.

“Congratulations, babe! So proud of you!!! I can think of no one more deserving! Glad me and the boys could celebrate you and your accomplishments,” Carrie wrote. She followed this with the hashtag “blessed.”

The induction news wasn’t a surprise to Mike, who learned he was entering the Hall of Fame in February. According to the organization, this was not just about his time as a Tennessee athlete, but also the work he has done since retiring to make Tennessee a better place.

Carrie also recently praised Mike for his work as a father (via UMG Nashville). “Mike as a dad is just super involved in our boys’ lives, very hands-on,” Carrie said. “It takes a team, definitely, to be able to support my crazy life”

Who is Carrie Underwood’s husband, Mike Fisher?

Carrie Underwood married Mike Fisher in 2010 after they dated for two years. He had met her backstage at one of her concerts. Mike, at that time, played professional hockey for the Ottawa Senators. In 2010, the year he married Underwood, he moved on to play for the Nashville Predators via a trade.

Ottowa drafted Mike in 1998 in the second round of the NHL Draft and he played for them for 11 seasons. He then played for Nashville for eight seasons, giving him an impressive 19-year NHL career. In 2017, he led Nashville to the Stanley Cup Finals. While they lost there, it was still a huge moment for the city and team.

Mike retired after that Stanley Cup appearance, but he came out of retirement in 2018 and helped lead them back to the playoffs. After they ended up eliminated in the second round, he officially retired for good. Now, Carrie is praising the major honor that the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame gave to her husband, Mike Fisher.
