Needless to say, it only takes the opening strum of any beloved Keith Urban song to send his faithful fans into wild screams of joy. Of course, throw in an energetic toss of his stylish blonde coiffe or a move to the side of the stage while he shreds a few riffs from Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me or Where The Blacktop Ends and every Keith Urban crowd quickly concurs with another title from his catalog of hits, Never Comin Down.
Fortunately for the faithful, the New Zealand-born Australian-American music wonder is still on tour, as Yahoo relates. Keith Urban’s concert dates conclude in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, Canada on August 1, 2024. In the same feature, Nicole Kidman shares of precious capture of Julian, the family dog. The furry baby looks determined to take to the road, too, in a very literal sense!
Keith’s not the only one ready to roll
Despite the demands of their professional lives and parenting, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman constantly balance being together and celebrating special moments, along with simple joys. Even with the rigors of transcontinental commuting, as Country Music Alley conveyed in March of this year, family is first priority.
Recently, in a series of sweet, shaggy shots, the Nine Perfect Strangers leading lady shared perfect poses of Julian soaking up the sun from the car. Whether Julian is in the backseat or the front, he seems ready to hit the road.
Most likely, however, even the most pampered of house pets can’t lick their way into a driver’s ed course. Still, Julian looks perfectly comfortable and positioned in the driver’s seat. The pooch has his paws at nine and three o’clock, respectively, and he holds an intense gaze at traffic. It’s hard to imagine that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban worked in the time for doggie defensive driving, especially since daughters Sunday, 14, and Faith, 12, are still too young for licenses.
“Passenger prince takes the wheel,” Nicole Kidman captions the photo of driver Julian. The subsequent photos show Julian quite content to catch some fresh air and sun from the partially-down window in the back seat. Clearly, the boy is no backseat driver!

Fans are smitten with Julian
Followers had plenty to say about the favorite pet passenger of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Teasingly, one declared “OK, when I’m reincarnated, I want to come back as your dog.” Fittingly, another compared the pose to school pick-up times in the afternoon. Showers of “sweet” and “adorable” poured in, and one “fur babysitter” stressed that she cared for ALL animals. The same sentiment holds true for the famous pet parents, who care for alpacas, cows, and cats among their menagerie of animals.
Julian holds a special place
“My first puppy,” Nicole Kidman exclaimed on social media in 2019 in celebration of adopting Julian with Keith Urban, “Actually, my first dog. “Been waiting my whole life for this,” the Oscar winner concluded. Truly, beloved animals bestow gifts of comfort and healing beyond anything in the medicinal realm. Back in June of 2021, a contrite but fully-booked Keith Urban hoped to earn Julian’s good graces again, after a few more extended dates in Las Vegas.

Of late, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman strike a unified chord in celebration of Keith’s nomination for the Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame, as The Columbian confirms. For any serious artist, recognition as a songwriter is the supreme honor. From the perspective of his fans, they look forward to a new album next year, and collaborations with Tyler Hubbard and other artists, along with more live performances.
“I’m constantly learning about songwriting from my collaborations,” Keith insists. As for the verbal toast from his preferred collaborator in life, Nicole Kidman, she beams “Congratulations, baby, what an incredible honor xx”
Incidentally, Nicole details that pets that bark are only part of the animal clan in the Kidman-Urban home. Two cats, Ginger and Snow, and 10 fish complete the domestic pack, but let’s see a fish take the steering wheel!
