Southern belle and musical phenom Kristin Chenoweth is sharing her devastating loss with the world. She has won over fans with her breathtaking voice and comedic talent. Yet, the Oklahoma native is only human so she is going to go through heartbreak like everyone else. What has caused her such immense pain? Read on for more details.
Kristin Chenoweth Shares Devastating Loss
Known for her bubbly voice, Broadway career, and insane vocal range, Kristin Chenoweth is a fan favorite no matter where she goes. The fifty-five-year-old is extremely down to earth and has a career that spans genres. From Wicked to Glee to Mom and beyond, this Oklahoma girl has a talent that many only aspire to. However, she is now taking a moment to reflect on her life and something extremely tragic. Her birth mother, who she only met in 2012, has sadly passed away. According to TMZ, Kristin shared a sweet tribute to her biological mama upon her death.
Kristin Chenoweth broke the news on Instagram Saturday, August 19th, about her mother’s passing. Alongside a slideshow of photos, Kristin detailed her love for ‘Mamalynn.’ She noted how the time that she got to spend with her, over a decade, was “magic.” More so, she explained that her mother was also an artist and that everyone who knew her, loved her, as well. Additionally, she had two other children, Jennifer and Chris, and really did love them so much. Kristen detailed the day that she was able to thank ‘Mamalynn’ for giving her life and love of music on 12/12/12.

She concluded with this: “I will miss her till the end of my days. But then, I will fly into the sky, where she will be waiting to greet me, and she will say, “start singing Babygirl!“ And I will.” Friends immediately responded to this sweet tribute. Reese Witherspoon wrote: “What a beautiful tribute. Sing her song , babygirl 💗.” Rosie O’Donnell added: “beautiful kc – so glad u got to know n love her – ❤️❤️❤️.” It seems like everyone just wants to let Kristin know how special what she wrote is because it is extremely beautiful.
Backstory
Kristin Chenoweth did not get into any detail as to what prompted her mother to put her up for adoption or anything of that nature. All she did was thank her immensely for gifting her so much for making her the artist that she is. She even pointed out her biological father, as well. What is beautiful is that she has such fond memories that will last her a lifetime.
