Keith Urban hit the top of the U.S. charts in 2001 with the song “But For The Grace Of God.” Over 20 years later, he’s still selling out stadiums. What major career announcement did the country singer just make? Keep reading for all the details.
Keith Urban, More Country Stars Take Over Vegas
Keith Urban was a recording artist long before his 2001 breakthrough. Originally from New Zealand, he grew up in Australia and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1992. He spent the next few years paying his dues, writing songs, and playing guitar for other artists.
He released his self-titled debut album in 1999, and the rest is history.
Keith Urban has released 11 albums and had 18 No. 1 singles in his long career. In addition to music, he was a judge on American Idol from seasons 12 to 16.
When he’s not making music, he spends time with his equally famous wife, actress Nicole Kidman. The couple have been married for almost 20 years and share two children together, Sunday Rose, 14, and Faith Margaret, 12.
However, Keith Urban does spend a lot of time on tour. He is among other country acts, including Carrie Underwood (at Resorts World Theatre) and Garth Brooks (at Ceasars Palace,) to headline a Las Vegas residency.
Keith Urban Makes Major Career Announcement
Fans still have a chance to see Urban in Las Vegas, as his residency at Planet Hollywood continues through November. And he’s already booked and busy for 2024.
He took to social media this week to share a major career announcement with his fans. Keith Urban is one of the headliners of the 2024 Voices of America Country Music Festival. The festival will announce other headliners at a later date.

According to Hello! magazine, the festival takes place in West Chester, Ohio, from August 9-11.
Keith Urban’s website lists a few other summer 2024 festivals already on the books. The “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer will perform at the Country Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, on June 28.
He’s also booked for the Sunfest County Music Festival in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, Canada.
The outlet also notes that singer/songerwriter will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame this year. Kix Brooks from the band Brooks & Dunn will also be inducted.
