Tenille Arts uploaded a short statement to her Instagram story earlier today that has Reddit users going wild. What’s the big deal?
Who Is Tenille Arts
First, a short history of Tenille and her career. Tenille Jade Dakota Arts is a country singer from Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada. She is 29 years old and recognizable from her song “Somebody Like That.” Arts began singing at the age of 13 and has performed on The Bachelor three times. Though not the biggest artist in the genre, Tenille has a loyal fanbase.
Tenille Arts Opens Up On Social Media
Earlier today (September 27th, 2023), Tenille posted a cryptic statement on her Instagram story. She makes vague threats targeted at people who have messed with her in the past, and claims she has proof. Arts also states she is ready to open up, yet has left this post sitting for 7 hours with no further context. What is there to open up about, and why is she leaving this idea dangling in the air? Perhaps the post is made as some sort of bait, but the intentions of that seem unclear. Why is Tenille leaving viewers hanging?
Users On Reddit Lash Out
A member of r/CelebWivesofNashville, on the social platform Reddit, posted a response to Tenelle Art’s Instagram story. The post is titled “Tenille Arts Drama?” The caption states; “I know she recently switched labels, I wonder if this [is] in reference to that?”
For reference, Arts was initially signed with Reviver Records back in 2018, and switched over to Dreamcatcher Artists in October of 2022, almost a year ago.
A handful of community users were quick to throw in their two cents.
u/hjugm says, “I hate this pointless buildup. Just release it or don’t. This just seems like nothing more than a cry for attention.”
u/WestFizz: “It’s giving 2016 vaguebook posts for attention.”
u/sylverfalcon: “Oh nooo I really like her, why did she have to out herself as cringe.” To which u/prettyupsidedown (the OP) responds, “I agree… it’s so cringe. Like either say what’s going on or don’t. Don’t say “I’m finally speaking my mind and being honest” and then proceed to not say anything…?”
It is clear fans are upset, or at the very least confused, by this cryptic post. What was the context? Why was Tenille so vague?
Tenille Arts Posts A Response
Once again the artist takes to Instagram to acknowledge her previous statement. It is clear that Tenille got a lot of responses in the 7 hours between posts, most likely in direct messages. Still, not much information is made available by Tenille Arts.
This post just acts as an extension of what Tenille was previously on about. It seems to beat around the bush, though it is uncertain what that ‘bush’ could be.
