For the past decade, country singer Parker McCollum thrilled audiences all over the United States. With albums like Probably Wrong, Never Enough, and The Limestone Kid, the songwriter quickly received high praise from country music fans. Recently, the star decided he needed a little help performing his song Hell Of A Year. Instead of bringing out some special guest or another country music star, McCollum decided to give a fan the opportunity. And it wasn’t just any fan as the singer pulled up a little boy dressed as a cowboy.
Parker McCollum Celebrates Number One Hits
Besides sharing the stage with even his smallest fans, Parker McCollum celebrated another milestone in his career after To Be Loved By You, Handle On You, and Pretty Heart all topped the charts at number one. The country singer took a moment to thank those who helped him along the way, suggesting he merely faked it. “Somehow—without really knowing what I was doing at any point in time and just faking it until I made it—I’ve got the best label, the best publishing company, the best management and the best business managers. I’ve got the best promotion team and the best agent. I don’t really understand how I fell into those hands.”

With Parker McCollum both a great singer and humble, he was sure to admit he gets too much credit. “I write with the best songwriters and the best producer in country music, Jon Randall. I get way too much credit. Everybody else does all the hard work and I get to go out there and get all the glory. I enjoy absolutely every second of working with all of you.”
Parker Sings With Little Cowboy
When Parker performed with the little boy, he changed up the lyrics a bit. This is a performance you don’t want to miss.
Knowing that the song is titled Hell Of A Year, Parker McCollum changed it to Heck Of A Year to keep it a little family-friendly. With it being his first time on stage, the little cowboy seemed somewhat astonished by having so many people staring back at him. Still, that didn’t stop McCollum from letting him miss out on his moment. After some reassurance from McCollum and the crowd, the cowboy gained the courage to end the song with a bang.

NEBRASKAland Days Welcome Country Star
Following Parker McCollum’s celebration, NEBRASKAland Days announced that the country singer would be performing alongside Jelly Roll at the 2024 Viaero Wireless Summer Jam Concert Series. Excited, Executive Director David Fudge noted, “Parker is an artist who has been around for a while. He not long ago sold out the Houston Stock Show, which is not an easy thing to do and there are not a lot of folks that can say that. Parker is an excellent artist that originally started in the Texas Red Dirt scene and got picked up in Nashville about two or three years ago and we’ve really seen his career take off.”
