On November 20, Blake Shelton posted a message to his social media accounts, teasing a showdown with Gwen Stefani, his wife. Naturally, everyone was intrigued by the idea of Gwen taking time off from recording her own reality show and swinging by Ole Red. Ole Red is an iconic bar in Nashville owned and operated by Blake, Gwen’s husband. Obviously, fans were hoping to see the two artists go head-to-head in a Barmageddon battle. Blake posted on his social media ” I love you @gwenstefani but you’re going down… Y’all don’t miss out on tonight’s episode of @BarmageddonUSA on @USANetwork!! #Barmageddon”
Blake And Gwen Go Head-To-Head In Barmageddon
Currently, Barmageddon is in its second season on USA Network. The show brings together celebrities and everyday people (like you and I) in classic bar-game competitions. Though, this time, Gwen and Blake have found themselves competing head-to-head (of course with the help of friends). The most recent episode featured an especially memorable round of Buzzed Words that had everyone mesmerized by the vocal talents of the famous couple. Their teammates were absolutely stunned at their performance.
Buzzed Words Rules
The rules of Buzzed Words are simple: Blake Shelton performs a song and every time he sings one of two specific words, his partner, Zach, pours a shot. Gwen’s team then does the same, with Gwen being in charge of belting out the vocals and, Susan, her teammate, is in control of pouring the liquor. Whichever team has poured the highest percentage of Buzzed Words shots, is the winner. While they were armed with “The Sweet Escape” and “Escape (The Pina Colada Song), Gwen and Blake went to work as their teammates had to stand by, equally armed with full liquor bottles.
In all honesty, they weren’t sure if they should’ve been laughing or crying at the performance of Team Blake. Zach seemed to be unable to identify when Blake sang the word “the” -also known as one of the most commonly used words in the English Language. People must admire Zach’s clueless smile as Blake helplessly sang the lyrics at him to perfection, complete with a half-dozen of the word “the” shouted in Zach’s direction. Even Barmageddon’s host Nikki Garcia was stunned at Team Blake’s performance – her attention was quickly shifted to Gwen’s flawless performance as she danced to her new hit song, “The Sweet Escape.”
Barmageddon Season 2
Although Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani appear in Season 2 Episode 2 of Barmageddon, there are no spoilers as to who won the entire competition. It’s safe to say, Team Blake’s performance in Buzzed Words, gave a healthy advantage in the overall standings. The exciting rendition of Buzzed Words was just a small taste of the classic bar games, with a twist, that went down during the November 20 episode of Barmageddon. There isn’t anything better than when famous friends competing and drinking against each other in a battle for bragging rights and supremacy.

Blake Shelton Says Barmageddon Brings Out The Beast In Gwen
Blake quickly found out, Gwen, is quite the competitive bar games participant. It’s unknown if Blake knew what he was getting into when he decided to go head-to-head with his wife in one of the most exciting and memorable episodes in the series’ history. It’s unsaid how Blake feels, but, Gwen is welcome to return to Barmageddon anytime she likes.
