Garth Brooks explains why he has bones in his logo for his new bar. He is gearing up to finally open his new bar, Friends In Low Places, in downtown Nashville. The country music star will be performing at the bar for the opening night. The concert was live-streamed on Amazon Prime, directly following the Black Friday NFL football game.
Before The Bar Opens
Ahead of the grand opening of his new bar Friends In Low Places, Garth gave fans a sneak peek at what can be expected from the newest bar on Broadway. He previously said, “I want Friends In Low Places to be the Chick-fil-A of honky tonks.”
“I want the Chick-fil-A of honky tonks. I want a place you go in where you feel good, you feel safe. Everybody’s got good manners. I’m hoping that there’s right when you walk in, it’ a “love everybody” stated right there. That’s what it’s about, right? So I want a place that’s just safe. That feels good,” stated Garth.

What To Expect From the New Bar From Garth Brooks
Aside from the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, Garth Brooks revealed, the bar would close at 2 AM, instead of 3 AM, like the usual closing time of other bars in downtown Nashville. He said the live music would stop at midnight to help cut down the excessive noise on Broadway, which has recently been a hot topic among officers working on Broadway. The officers have complained of not being able to hear their radios over the live music coming from the bars.
Garth mentioned there will also be a police substation built right next door to the bar, to help Metro Nashville Police keep Broadway safer during peak business hours. (And maybe deter them from his antics, we see you Garth!)
Additionally, Friends In Low Places, will be on Broadway alongside many other artists who have their own bars such as Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, John Rich, and very soon, Eric Church!
What’s With The Logo?
Garth’s logo for his new bar seems to be a tiki theme. It features the name written out in bones… which obviously had fueled the fire for the rumors from previous comments stating “Where are the bodies?” It is a joke and there is a whole meme about Garth being a serial killer. If you aren’t familiar with the long-time running joke, it was started by Tom Segura. He explained the logo is “What’s left on a deserted island.”
During a preview of Friends In Low Places, Garth was asked why he chose bones for the lettering of the logo, but, he also didn’t do anything to quiet the speculation that there are 300 bodies buried in his backyard. He stated, “It’s just what was left on a deserted island. It could’ve been bamboo.” But, why wasn’t it bamboo?
