Maren Morris is taking her musical time amid her divorce from Ryan Hurd. Admittedly, 2023 has been a rollercoaster year. Yet, now she is trusting what is best for her and not rushing into anything until the time is right. What exactly does that mean? Read on for more details.
Maren Morris Taking Her Musical Time Amid Divorce
A handful of months back, it seemed like Maren Morris was leaving country music behind. There was too much backlash with it as she stood strong in her convictions. However, she later cleared it up and said that she was not going to be genre-specific. It had come completely out of context and she would always stay strong to her country roots. At the same time, she filed for divorce from her husband, Ryan Hurd. This was a lot for her followers to digest as she seemed to be completely shifting her life.
Now, Morris is sharing where she is at and where she is going as she heads into 2024. According to ET, she is only answering to herself. This seems to be her time and she will do what is best for herself. As for what Maren’s plans are for the new year, which is just around the corner, she had this to say:
“Just, not answering to anyone and not having to protect anyone’s feelings but my own and put myself first. And I think that’s going to be a really empowering 2024. A lot of my friends are going through the same thing right now. And, like, all their therapists or psychics have said, ‘2024, you need to be single.'”
One of these friends could be RHOBH star, Kyle Richards. When Maren Morris was a guest on WWHL with Andy Cohen, she did note that she and Kyle had been in touch. Richards is currently separated from her longtime husband, Mauricio Umansky so the two women have a common understanding. Maren and Ryan were wed for five years but “irreconcilable differences” are the reason for the split. Yet, is she going to be single like her friends are?
Single Maren?
Maren Morris likes not having to answer to anyone so does that mean she is ending the year completely single? She explained that she is not mingling. However, she does not seem opposed to being with someone new. As for music, it has been nearly two years since her last album was released. Yet, she is giving herself time to get out new music as she has a lot of deep and “personal” stuff that she is working through. So, she is respecting the time and effort the album deserves.
“So, yeah, I’m giving myself the time to do that and not having to rush a very, huge personal thing through an album being delivered. So, yeah, it’s going to take a little bit longer than I had hoped, but I have to trust the process.”
