Country crooner Chris Janson is teaming up with a rock legend for a new episode of CMT Crossroads. Keep reading for all the details.
Chris Janson Gets In The Holiday Spirit
Chris Janson got his start in Nashville by writing and recording with Holly Williams on her 2009 album Here with Me. He signed with BNA Records that same year, releasing his first single a year later. “‘Til a Woman Comes Along” peaked at No. 56 on Billboard Hot Country Songs.
Janson ultimately left the label and released two singles via Bigger Picture Media Group before the label folded in 2014.
Taking his career into his own hands, Chris Janson released the song “Buy Me a Boat” in 2015. The song gave Janson his first hit song, reaching the top 5 on the country charts.
He released his first studio album, Buy Me a Boat, via Warner Records later that year.
After releasing three more albums with Warner Records, Janson left to create his own imprint, Harpeth 60 Records.
Chris Janson got into the holiday spirit earlier this month by performing at Christmas at the Opry. He sang the song “Holiday Road.” The song was originally written and performed by Lindsey Buckingham for the 1983 flick National Lampoon’s Vacation.

Teams Up With Rock Legend For CMT Crossroads
It seems Chris Janson has a soft spot for the 1980s. It was announced this week that the next episode of CMT Crossroads will feature Janson and a rock legend who first gained fame in the late 80s.
The country singer is teaming up with Poison lead singer Bret Michaels as the duo perform some of each other’s biggest hits.
CMT Crossroads has been delighting music lovers since 2002 by putting artists from different genres together. Some of the previous collaborations include Jason Derulo and Luke Bryan, Maren Morris and Hozier, and The Black Crowes and Darius Rucker.
Poison was one of the biggest glam rock bands of the late 80s and early 90s. Chris Janson gushed to CMT.com about his love of the band. “I’ve been a lifelong fan of Bret and, of course, Poison because that’s the music I was raised on,” he said.

They’ll duet on Janson’s hits “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes,” and “Buy Me A Boat.”
