HARDY and Lainey Wilson change gifts, but, the gifts given to one another are very different!
HARDY and Lainey Wilson are at the forefront of country music right now. Since touring together on HARDY’s Mockingbird and the Crow Tour, they’ve become really good friends.
In tradition of country music history, after a tour wraps up – just like HARDY’s just did – the headliner will thank their openers with generous gifts.
But in this case, HARDY’s opener Lainey Wilson, also had a gift to give him in return as a thank you for the opportunity to open for him.
The heartfelt moment Lainey handed him his present was filmed, and she shared it with her fans on TikTok. She captioned the moment, “@HARDY we will talk about this tour the rest of our lives, loved burning up the road with you, friend.”
In the video, you can see the famous “Wait in the Truck” singer giving him a custom guitar with a mockingbird and a crow etched into the top, along with his name.
HARDY reacted, “Oh my GOD, dude!” Lainey then explained the reasoning behind her gift.
“Probably about 8 months ago, you texted me and said, you said something about, like we played a radio show together, and you were like, ‘What’s the name of that guitar’?” she remembered HARDY asking. HARDY then said,”I’ve been thinking about that guitar for like ever, and I didn’t want to say anything.”

HARDY lit up with joy and is so excited because, that guitar is only customized for him. He immediately started strumming on the guitar with joy.
He told his group, “We’re gonna put her up at Blackberry Farm for a few days,” revealing Lainey’s gift. “End of an era, dude. No more ‘Wait in the Truck’ sh*t, no more touring together.”
They followed up their gift exchange with a hug.
While she has had quite a busy year between celebrating the anniversary of her fourth album, and winning several awards, she plans to have several more performances! The 31-year-old, announced in October 2023, she will be touring for the majority of 2024, all across the United States.
The tour kicks off in Nashville Tennessee on May 31, 2023. Her final show for her tour will be in the middle of November and will be in Monroe Los Angeles. With a total of 37 concerts in the line-up, she will be joined by Jackson Dean, Zach Top, Ian Munsick and more!
The ticket sales for her 2024 tour, started selling on October 23, and are still for sale. Lainey has committed to donating $1 from every ticket sale to her new, Heart Like A Truck Fund.
