Gabby Barrett was quick to shut down the rumors that her marriage to husband, Cade Foehner, is ruining her career.
“I treasure a Godly marriage over anything the world could offer,” Gabby said in response to the rumors that her marriage is ruining her career.
Gabby Barrett Responds To Rumors
Gabby tells that her marriage to her husband, Cade, is one of the most important things in her life along with her Christian faith. Recently, Gabby discussed both her marriage and her music career on the Unexpected with Hannah Love, podcast. She spoke of the ways her marriage and career intertwine with her life.
The 23-year-old told Hannah, that while several fans and people she knows has shown concern over her dedication to her faith, it’s not something that affects her. She has chosen to prioritize her faith and family over her career.
“I have tons of people say to me, or text me, or have commented about me and said, ‘She’s ruining her career by talking about these things, and by X, Y and Z,” Gabby said. “Because I treasure a Godly marriage over anything the world could offer.”
She then added, “know where I’m going. I know who I’m gonna see…who I’m gonna answer to. And those people are gonna have to answer to Him too. So, I’m trying to do the best with what I’ve been given for Him.”
Gabby’s Faith Makes It Easier To Stick With Her Decisions
She explained that her song belief in her faith has made it easier for her not to waver on her decisions.
“I’m thankful for that in this industry,” she said. “It would be so difficult if (my faith) was just like a wavering thing all the time. But He’s given me the spirit, and it’s really helped me to be very firm, no matter what the push is from outside industry and outside people.”
Cade, her husband, performs with Gabby as part of her band. She told Hannah how thankful she is that her husband is a part of her musical journey…
“I’m really thankful that God has worked that out to where we’re compatible in music,” she said. “We do so much music together, and then we’re so much on the same page about the Lord and about what our mission is in music, and trusting that God will keep our hearts pointed in the right direction by reading his word and by always renewing our minds with it.”

Gabby Is Thankful For Cade
Gabby Barrett expressed gratitude for like-minded people around her. “It would be nearly impossible to be a Christian and not seek counsel from other people, have the right people around you, and most importantly, to have God’s word in front of you and to constantly be in that, to have that be like your center point, your north on your compass.”
Cade and Gabby are currently expecting their third child together, a daughter that is due in February. She will join her big sister Baylah May, almost 3, and her brother Augustine Boone, 1. Gabby’s second album Chapter & Verse, is also arriving in February!
