HARDY has been open about his mental health struggles. Specifically, he deals with severe anxiety issues. It even caused him to cancel multiple shows in 2023 when the pressure grew too strong for him to handle without getting help. Now, the country music star wants to help others.

Here is what HARDY said about his mental health issues and what he wants to do for others.

HARDY suffers from anxiety and panic attacks

In October 2023, HARDY had to cancel some shows. The country-rock superstar explained to fans that it was because of mental health issues. He suffers from severe anxiety disorder and the issues have gotten worse since a bus accident in 2022. He checked himself into a hospital seeking treatment and help with the issues.

When he returned to the stage the next weekend, he explained his issues to his fans. It seemed that his fans were understanding and on his side when it came to opening up about his mental health. More important, they were on his side when it came to getting help for his issues.

HARDY admitted that he is amazed at what his body holds onto. He pointed out that anyone who has suffered trauma in their lives holds onto these things. In some cases, it is subconscious, and that means that the anxiety attacks that come on can seem to arrive from nowhere.

“Just kinda out of nowhere I had a lot of crippling,” HARDY explained. “It was really hard to explain, a couple of really hard days and I had no idea where they were coming from.” He said he had to step back and work on himself. He also thanked his fans for being there for him.

Now, HARDY wants to give back and help others who are dealing with similar issues.

HARDY wants to be a ‘guiding light’ for others

In a recent interview with SiriusXM, HARDY said that he wants to be a “guiding light” to others who deal with similar anxiety and mental health issues.

HARDY said there is nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to anxiety and mental health issues. He said that fans should always talk about what they are feeling and get help. He said that anxiety is just another emotion, like jealousy or embarrassment. It is just part of being a human.

He said that his anxiety issues happened for a reason. He said that he now wants to be a “voice for people who maybe are afraid to admit, or ashamed to admit, that they go through that.” He went on to say that it is really hard and he wants to be there to let others know it is okay to seek help.

HARDY also has becoming THE CROW, a documentary about his life, coming out in January where he should be talking more about his anxiety issues.
