Tim McGraw Credits Steamy Song To 27-Year Marriage To Faith Hill
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have one of the most enduring marriages, despite their quickie wedding. The two first met as up-and-coming artists in Nashville in the early 1990s. However, they didn’t truly connect until she joined his “Spontaneous Combustion” tour in 1996 as an opening act.
Their romance started almost immediately, with McGraw proposing backstage at one of the tour stops. They married in October 1996 and have three daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey.
During an interview with the Los Angeles Times earlier this year, the “Don’t Take The Girl” singer revealed a song that has special meaning for them.
And it’s not one of the numerous duets.
During the chat, McGraw heavily implied that the song ‘Samba Pa Ti’ by Santana was the song playing when the couple was first intimate.
The song came with a warning from his uncle, and McGraw heeded the warning.
“My uncle told me one time — my uncle Hank, old hippie who lives in Napa Valley — he played it for me one time years ago on the road. He loved that song too. He said, ‘I’m going to tell you something.’ He says, ‘Never make love to a woman with this song on unless you intend to marry her.’ And so I didn’t until I did. And then I did,”
Tim McGraw Brings In New Year With Shocking Throwback
After nearly three decades of marriage, Tim McGraw is seemingly still in disbelief over marrying Faith Hill. While he continues to make new music, he also loves sharing throwbacks from years ago with his fans. Some may include Faith Hill, like the first photo they ever took together.
In a look back at his own career, McGraw couldn’t help but share his first-ever photo shoot.
To mark 2024, Tim McGraw took fans all the way back to 1999. The photo is an old black-and-white snapshot of himself and Faith Hill. He included the caption, “Happy New Year!! 1999 and still goin strong!!!”
