John Michael Montgomery’s Songs Dominated Weddings In The 90s
John Michael Montgomery’s career in country music kicked off in 1992 with the release of his first album, Life’s A Dance. The single of the same peaked at No. 4 on the country charts. The album spawned his first No. 1 hit with “I Love the Way You Love Me.”
His second album, Kickin’ It Up, took his career to new heights. His hit song “I Swear” spent four weeks at No. 1 and was named the top country song of 1994.
The R&B group All-4-One covered the song, which boosted Montgomery’s record sales even more.
The group also covered his song “I Can Love You Like That” from his third album.
John Michael Montgomery’s career waned after the 90s, but he still saw success touring. His last album was released in 2008.

Late last year, Shania Twain’s crew suffered injuries when their tour bus crashed.
En route to a tour stop in North Carolina in 2022, John Michael Montgomery’s tour bus went off the road. He suffered minor injuries but continued touring.
