Marie Osmond has been entertaining fans since she was just three years old. Now she’s ready to take a step back. Why? Keep reading for all the details.
Marie Osmond Takes Step Back From Touring, Why?
In her six decades in the entertainment industry, Marie Osmond saw and did it all. She was on Dancing With The Stars in 2007. She gave fans quite the scare when she fainted on live TV after one of her dance routines. Marie didn’t win, but she came in third place.
Between 2008 and 2019, fans could catch Marie and her equally famous brother, Donny, in Vegas. Their Donny & Marie variety show was originally scheduled for six weeks but ended up lasting eleven years!
In her long career, Marie released eleven studio albums. Her 2021 album Unexpected topped Billboard’s Classical Album chart.
While the performer isn’t retiring just yet, she’s ready for a break. She spoke with FrederickNewsPost.com ahead of her show at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown about her decision.
“I need to not be under contract that I can’t do anything because I can’t get hurt. I just decided that I would do a few shows and enjoy my life a little bit, and that’s what I’m planning to do this year,” she said about taking a step back from touring.
In addition to spending time with her family, she wants to check things off her bucket list. She did get a chance to fulfill her soap opera dreams with an appearance on The Bold & The Beautiful.

Marie Osmond is the only girl among her siblings. She has eight brothers. She took to Instagram last week to share a snapshot of her large family. “I’m headed into the new year counting all my blessings!! One of the things I’m most grateful for is my family!” she wrote alongside the photo.
