After the unforgettable drunken performance of Elle King at the celebration celebrating the birthday of Dolly Parton, many country music fans wondered how the country music superstar bounce back. Overcoming such a horrific and disrespectful performance would not easy for anyone. It appears Elle King is trying to bounce back. One way to do that is to drink only water doing her live performances.
In Case You Missed The Elle King Performance
When Elle King took to the stage at Dolly Parton’s birthday celebration, she was drunk. The country singer was beyond drunk. Both her performance and her behavior showed just how intoxicated King was.
King was so drunk, she forgot the words to the Dolly Parton songs she was suppose to sing. When unable to remember the words, she made up her own. She also used words she made up, sounding like a lot of gibberish. She then went on a drunken rant. “I’m not even gonna f***ing lie … y’all bought tickets for this s***, you ain’t getting your money back,” she shouted at the fans in the audience.
Dolly Parton Responded With Forgiveness
Despite the backlash from fans, many spewing hate towards Elle King, Dolly Parton responded with forgiveness and friendship. The “Coat Of Many Colors” singer chalked it up to someone making mistake.
Dolly Parton went on to say she understood that King was going through a hard time. In addition to forgiveness and friendship, the country music offered the country singer another F-word. That F-word was “forget it.”
Elle King Has A New Practice
Hopefully, Elle King has a new practice when it comes to drinking before a performance and during a performance. Based on recent performance, appears that might be the case.
When Elle King took to the stage during the “Extra Innings Festival,” she did not appear to be drunk. In fact, the “I’m Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home)” singer took a bottle of water with her as she performed in Tempe, Arizona. She kept is very handy. This water bottle she brought on stage was never out of her reach.
Was Elle King Really Drinking Water?
Fans of Elle King as well as the still angry fans of Dolly Parton might be curious if the country singer was really only drinking water. There are clear alcohols, such as vodka, that can be placed in a water bottle to look like water.
Despite the possible speculation from country music fans, King appeared to be sober. She was able to make it through the performance without any drunken rants.
