College Student Goes Missing After Bar-Hopping
Riley Strain, 22, was last seen outside country singer Luke Bryan’s Nashville bar on March 8. The college student was on a trip to Nashville from the University of Missouri with members of his fraternity.
The “One Margarita“ singer opened the bar in 2018. Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink is located in the heart of Nashville’s downtown district. You can find the six-story bar and entertainment space on Lower Broadway.
Riley Strain and his buddies did just that while bar-hopping on the night of his disappearance. Luke Bryan released a statement on Instagram shortly after the news broke. He called the situation “scary” and said that he was “praying” for the missing student.
Luke Bryan’s Nashville Bar At Center Of Missing Persons Case
As of March 16, the young man still hasn’t been found. The Nashville Police are still investigating the mysterious disappearance.
He was reportedly kicked out of the bar and told his friends he was walking back to the hotel. According to Us Weekly, surveillance footage revealed Riley Strain taking a wrong turn in the unfamiliar city and hasn’t been seen since.
According to the outlet, Luke Bryan’s bar is under investigation for overserving the college student before asking him to leave.
The country singer released a statement on March 15 about the bar’s role in the disappearance. “During Riley’s visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge, our records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic drink and two waters,” the statement said.
It continued, “At 9:35 p.m., our security team made a decision based on our conduct standards to escort him from the venue through our Broadway exit at the front of our building.”
According to the venue, one of the other students walked with Riley Strain down the stairs but didn’t leave with him. The statement ended, “Our prayers continue to be with Riley’s friends and family during this difficult time and for his safe return.”

The country singer’s fans rallied behind him and also speculated on what could have happened. One person tweeted, “One alcoholic beverage and two waters, gets kicked out, maybe drugged?”
Another added, “It was 10PM. These boys had definitely been to many bars prior and most of these kids “pre-game” in their hotel rooms to save money. Clearly, the “over-serving” didn’t occur at Luke’s bar and I found this to be an appropriate statement to put out.”
Hopefully, Riley Strain will be found safe soon. Have you been following the missing persons case? Share your thoughts in the comments.
