Billy Ray Cyrus’s wife, Firerose, is a singer/songwriter from Australia. Music is clearly something these two bonded over. After The Storm marks their fourth duet. It’s obvious they are able to channel their relationship chemistry into their songwriting. That doesn’t always translate for everyone. However, their fans certainly like the music they make together.
Not surprisingly, Firerose draws inspiration from other Australian musicians like Sia and iconic rock band, Silverchair. Firerose initially moved to Los Angeles with dreams of becoming a successful artist. Since linking with Billy Ray Cyrus, she has managed to do all of that and more.
Cyrus and Firerose made it official by tying the knot in October 2023. They had gotten engaged the year prior in 2022. Despite their 28-year age difference, these two continue to make their relationship work, and continue to make music along the way.

After The Storm has an ethereal quality to it. Firerose’s dream-like vocals blend with soothing acoustics and Cyrus’s lower register for a catchy pop ballad that will more than likely have no issues climbing to the top of the charts. The single has a cinematic quality to it as well, and it would be right at home on a major motion picture soundtrack. Clearly, the song’s theme of picking yourself up and dusting yourself off “after the storm” is resonating with fans.
