Country music fans were taken aback by Shania Twain’s shocking appearance on stage during her Las Vegas residency. Her changing looks have been the talk of the internet for years, but what sparked the new chatter?
Country Singer’s Vegas Residency Doesn’t Impress Fans Much
Shania Twain kicked off her third Las Vegas residency on Friday, May 10, but some fans were not impressed much. The singer previously moonlighted in Vegas in 2012 for her “Still The One” residency at Caesars Palace. She followed it up with “Let’s Go” in 2019.
Her current residency, “Come On Over,” is at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater and runs through December 2024. She celebrated the opening show with an Instagram post of photos of the event with the caption, “And we’re BACK!”
Some of her disappointed fans took to the comment section to call out the new residency for being the same as the previous two. One person wrote, “Looks like the exact same as last residency. It’s a shame that is the same show, same music etc. there was more than enough time to launch a new Cd since you have stated for years that you have 3 albums written. I just can’t keep paying good money to see the same show and same music.”
Another added, “As a huge Shania fan I’m bummed to see absolutely nothing new with this residency. Same outfits, same props, same stage set/layout, same graphics just diffetent colors. What’s going on with the creativity and lack of production at your shows?”
A third disgruntled fan called it “déjà vu.” They added, “Let’s shake things up and bring some new energy to the stage!”
Fans Bewildered By Shania Twain’s Appearance On Stage
At one point in her career, Shania Twain never thought she would sing again. A battle with Lyme disease affected her vocal cords, and she had surgery to repair the problem.
However, she made a triumphant return back to the stage. But some fans noticed something different about her, and it wasn’t her voice. Many fans allege that the singer’s changing appearance was from Botox or other cosmetic procedures.

But the “Man, I Feel Like A Woman” singer had her defenders. One wrote, “This isn’t Vampire Diaries. There are no doppelgangers or body doubles. Shania Twain is 56, not 35 anymore. Her face has changed as all ours do, and whatever work she has had done is her prerogative. She still looks natural and beautiful.”
