Country singer Rory Feek is at the center of some major family drama. He addressed claims of endangering his young daughter, Indiana. His other two daughters made the shocking accusations last week when revealing that they plan to take legal action to protect their younger sibling. Keep reading for the latest developments.
Rory Feek’s Daughters Claim Younger Sister Is In Danger
Country singer Rory Feek has two daughters from a previous marriage, Hopie and Heidi. They recently went public with plans to sue their father in an effort to protect their younger sibling. The “Someone Is Me” singer welcomed his third daughter, Indiana, in 2014 with his wife Joey. Indiana was born with Down syndrome.
Sadly, Joey passed away from cancer in 2016. The country duo performed together for years as Joey + Rory. Rory Feek remarried in July, tying the knot with a woman named Rebecca, who was one of his daughter’s school teachers.
The drama between Rory Feek and his two older daughters seemingly began around the time of the wedding. Neither Heidi nor Hopie attended the wedding. They also claimed that Indiana was left with “unfamiliar family members” while Rory and Rebecca went on their honeymoon.
The older sisters gave an interview to Taste of Country detailing years of their own abuse as children. They blamed their father for his lack of care during medical situations and more. After the interview was published, Heidi Feek took to Instagram to share more details of her concern for Indiana. She wrote that her younger sister needs to be in a safe and stable environment.

Rory Feek Addresses Claims He Left Daughter With A ‘Cult’
According to Wide Open Country, Rory Feek left Indiana with members of the Homestead Heritage, an organization with a history of child abuse. His older daughters referred to the organization as a “cult,” but the singer denies the accusation. The family drama continued to play out on social media after Rory Feek made a lengthy blog post addressing his daughter’s claims that Indiana isn’t safe.
He denied that the Homestead Heritage group is a cult. Rory Feek explained, “Indiana stayed with two families, both of who have little ones that Indy is very close to.”
Explains Limiting Contact Between Indiana & Sisters
Rory Feek’s older daughters claim that their father won’t allow them to see Indiana anymore. According to Rory, they “forfeited their right to speak to their little sister” when they threatened to sue him.
Furthermore, he claimed that they exposed Indiana to things he didn’t agree with.
“Heidi doesn’t think she has to respect my wishes when it comes to her little sister. They want [Indiana] to watch the movies they want to play for her, listen to the songs they want her to hear, and be exposed to the things they want to expose her to.”
