Rascal Flatts still have tons of devoted fans despite breaking up in 2021. The popular country trio recently sparked reunion rumors. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.
Rascal Flatts Spark Reunion Rumors
Rascal Flatts dominated country music in the early 2000s. The trio of Gary LeVox, Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney released their first album in 2000. They saw major success with their second album released in 2002. Melt had four top-ten singles, including the number-one hit songs “These Days,” and “Mayberry.”
The band was named Vocal Group of the Year at the CMAs every year from 2003 until 2008.
Fans were shocked in 2020 when Rascal Flatts announced they were disbanding after one last tour. But the tour never happened because of the COVID pandemic. The band officially announced in 2021 that they weren’t rescheduling the tour and were officially done after Joe Don Rooney unexpectedly quit the band.
“I hate the way that it ended. I hate that we didn’t get to do this farewell tour. I can’t stand the fact that it just feels there’s no closure with something that we’ve been so blessed with. That will always be in my heart,” Gary LeVox told PEOPLE magazine in 2021.
But their Instagram account is still active and content is posted regularly. The latest Instagram post sparked major speculation about a reunion.
“We’re feeling nostalgic..Share your favorite Rascal Flatts tour memories and tag us so we can see them,” the band’s social media person wrote alongside a photo of the band from a previous tour.

Fans BEG For Farewell Tour
Many of their fans shared wholesome memories of seeing Rascal Flatts in concert. However, an equal amount of fans literally begged for the band to reunite for at least one more farewell tour.

None of the three band members have yet to address the latest reunion rumors. However, this isn’t the first time fans have hoped for a reunion tour that still hasn’t happened.
