Country singer Chris Young was vindicated after a false arrest last month. He thanked his fans for their support with a heartfelt gesture. Keep reading for all the latest on the situation.
Security Footage Vindicates Chris Young
Country singer Chris Young was accused of putting his hands on an agent with the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission at a bar last month. Several agents were conducting a compliance check by looking at the IDs of the bar patrons.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the Tennessee native was also accused of “yelling and screaming” during his subsequent arrest.
However, security footage of the incident shows an entirely different story.
While Chris Young did interact with the agents, he didn’t appear to touch any of them. Rather, he held his hand out as if attempting to start a conversation with them.
One agent immediately shoved the singer, causing him to stumble over a table and chair. He quickly recovered after falling, but instead of yelling and screaming, he appeared to back up with his hands raised.

Singer Reveals How He’s Recovering From False Allegations
The video quickly went viral on social media, and the singer’s attorney called for the D.A. to drop all the charges. The charges were officially dropped on January 26.
On February 1, Chris Young posted a video on his social media platforms to address the incident for the first time. He previously posted photos of the injuries he received during the altercation.
“Hey guys, so I just wanted to say something. You know, I’m still processing a lot through the false accusations and everything that went on in the past week,” the singer said at the start of the video.
“But I wanted to say first and foremost, thank you to everybody that had my back,” he continued. Chris Young said it meant the world for his fans and friends to reach out to him amid his arrest to show their support.
The “Aw Naw” singer said it was “really nice” that the charges were dropped. He added that the situation is “not something I wish anybody has to go through ever. But, like I said, the bright spot was seeing just all the love and support.”
Chris Young Thanks Fans With Heartfelt Gesture
