Country superstar and Grammy winner Garth Brooks is getting ready to head out on tour for a handful of dates in 2026. Yet, he has been allegedly plagued by anxiety after he was accused of rape and assault. Now, he is trying to deal with all of these emotions while being in the spotlight. Keep reading for more details on how Garth is coping.
Garth Brooks Plagued By Tour Anxiety
Going back out on tour is an exciting thing for most artists. They love the high of performing their songs for fans on a nightly basis. Moreover, seeing the excitement in everyone’s eyes as they sing along is a rush that never goes away. However, when a scandal has followed a performer, it can make these adventures less than desirable. Such is the case with the legendary Garth Brooks. He has been performing for decades and has amassed countless fans who are chomping at the bit to see him live.

Unfortunately, it is not that easy as Garth was accused of rape and sexual assault by a woman who was his hair and makeup artist. These allegations came out in late 2024, although the musician denied everything, stating that they were “extortion” and “defamation.” He had tried to move on with his life, and that includes a few tour stops in 2026. Per his website, Garth Brooks will be stopping in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for Summerfest on June 16th and 17th. He will then go across the pond to London on June 27th, but it is not easy, as his scandals have caused immense tour anxiety.

Since he has not been on the road in four years, and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, won’t be joining him, this is less than desirable. A source shared this insight regarding how Garth Brooks was faring:
It’s been years since he toured so, of course, there’s a lot of anxiety, and then on top of that he’s afraid the audience could have been driven away by all the noise in his personal life, even though he keeps being told the support is still there.
No Comments, Please
It is clear that Garth Brooks is feeling the nerves as he has turned his social media comments off. He may not want any negative energy in his life as he prepares to jump on the tour bus or in general. That makes sense, as people can be cruel. Regardless, he has so many fans who adore him no matter what. When he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel at the end of November 2024, fans were extremely complimentary of him:
- Garth is the GOAT at being a kind and generous person.
- I saw Garth in Memphis a few years ago….dude is the best entertainer on the planet….I have never seen a man captivate 20,000 people
- Can you imagine being that famous and still that decent, that happy to perform, that joyful about music and his family? What a tonic.
Hopefully, Garth Brooks can feel the love, and his anxiety can somewhat subside. However, a little stagefright is never a bad thing. Would you go see Garth in concert? Let us know in the comments below.
