Blake Shelton Has A New Business Endeavor- Is He Copying Luke Bryan?

It’s no surprise that Country music stars enjoy alcohol. Beer and whiskey are ingrained in Country music culture. Country Music Alley recently reports that Thomas Rhett has his own brand of tequila, Dos Primos Tequila. However, he isn’t the only one. Of note is Toby Keith with Wild Shot Mezcal Tequila, Darius Rucker’s Backstage Southern Whiskey, and Florida Georgia Line’s Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey. Notably, Blake Shelton is adding to his Smithworks American-Made Vodka line. Luke Bryan is already in the hard seltzer business and Blake Shelton joins him. Blake Shelton partners with Smithworks

In December 2020, Blake Shelton shares, “I’m excited for everyone to finally taste [his whiskey],” according to a report by People. However, USA Today reports that Shelton has been with the brand “since it launched with vodka in 2016.” He goes on to detail what it’s like to be a part of the Smithworks family. “I’ve been involved in the development of the brand, and I’m excited for everyone to finally taste what we’ve been crafting. At its core, Smith works celebrate that moments in life are better spent with good people and great drinks.”

Unfortunately, at the time, Smithworks was only available in limited markets in the United States. Those markets include Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Blake Shelton’s home state, Oklahoma. As far as Shelton’s latest venture with Smithworks goes, USA Today says that it will be available for purchase “in 17 states in 12-can variety packs and six-can Classic Lemon packs. Blake Shelton endorses a hard seltzer, like Luke Bryan

Blake Shelton is partnering with Smithworks to release a hard seltzer. Shelton describes his vision of the beverage. “This is something people are doing out on the lake; they have this kind of a summertime drink and that’s what I’m all about,” shares Shelton. 

Shelton joins his buddy, Luke Bryan in the seltzer business. Earlier this year, Bryan launches his brand of hard seltzer, Two Lane Hard Seltzer. Two Lane comes in four flavors: Peach Tea, Cherry Limeade, Blueberry Lemonade, and Watermelon Punch. All of Bryan’s seltzers are 100 calories and 4.5% alcohol by volume.

Fans can look forward to a variety of flavors from the Blake Shelton endorsed hard seltzers. The hard seltzer flavors include Classic Lemon, Ripe Strawberry, Southern Peach Tea, and Crisp Lime. Notably, every flavor has 100 calories with 5% alcohol by volume and one gram of sugar per 12 oz. can. According to USA Today, “The hard seltzer lemonade is the brand’s first venture in seltzer.”
