Carrie Underwood and John Legend brought magic to The Voice stage. On Tuesday night, December 14, they performed their Christmas duet, “Hallelujah.” John looked dapper in his white tuxedo as he sat behind the grand piano. Meanwhile, Carrie looked like a Disney princess in her sparkly gown.

The duo brought holiday magic to the show. With both of them behind the microphone, their powerful performance brought down the entire place. The stage glistened with lit candles. John and Carrie took turns as they showed off their angelic voices.

The Voice Season 21 finale

Carrie Underwood reunited with The Voice coach John Legend for their enchanting performance. She took to the stage in a beautifully embellished gown. The nude tulle gown featured an off-the-shoulder design and sweeping train. The beautiful dress had sparkles in a leaf pattern, which started around the bodice and traveled past the waistline.

Carrie wore her blonde hair down and straight with a middle part. She adorned her glistening holiday look with gold statement earrings. Her glamorous gown and jewelry were fit for a Disney princess. According to Footwear News, she wore either boots or pumps during the performance.

Carrie often wears both types of shoes during her performances. As Country Music Alley previously reported, fans couldn’t get enough of her legs in a previous television performance. Along with Carrie and John, Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Keke Palmer, Kid Cudi, Jennifer Lopez, and Walker Hayes also performed during the two-hour finale.

Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend took to the stage to perform with the remaining contestants from their teams.  “Hallelujah” is on Carrie’s 2020 holiday album entitled, My Gift. In October 2021, she released the My Gift (Special Edition) Deluxe album. Earlier this week, the busy mom of two traveled to Sin City to headline the final shows of her Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency.

Carrie Underwood and John Legend cover Blake Shelton song

John is so passionate about his work on The Voice that he released a new Instagram series called Trailer Talk, which has since increased in popularity. Fans love seeing the adult contemporary artist collaborate with different singers. He teamed up with Carrie Underwood to cover Blake Shelton’s “Austin.”

“I was thinking it would be cool to do something country and you had a great idea,” John told Carrie Underwood.

“I know that this show is all about friendly competition among the judges, and I feel like because you can sing anything, I would love to hear your voice on something country, so I think we should sing a Blake Shelton song and you should show him how it’s done,” she told John.

The two got together to cover his 20-year-old debut single. Carrie took over the song while John played on the keyboard. Even Blake himself was impressed. He took to the comment section of John’s Instagram post to write, “Damn y’all…” Their performance even gave fans chills.
