Country music singer and songwriter Chris Young left his 1.5M Instagram followers with their jaws hitting the floor after his latest life update. Turns out, the 38-year-old has spent the past year not only working hard on his music career but on himself as well.
The Season 4 winner of Nashville Star informed his followers that he’s dropped an impressive 60 pounds of weight from his body. In a photo with his shirt peeled off of his body and hanging from his neck like a necklace, the singer treated his followers to a selfie of exactly what losing that much weight looks like.

Shirtless Chris Young Unveils Jaw-Dropping 60-Pound Weight Loss
“This year has been dedicated to a lot of work on myself. Music wise AND in the gym.” Chris Young penned in his recent Instagram update.
He continued to tell his followers he was not done with his weight loss journey just yet. But, he was proud of his progress. And, was eager to show it off. So, he teased everyone that he would just “leave this here” referring to his shirtless weight loss snap.

Not Alone On His Weight Loss Journey
As those who follow country music news know, Chris Young is not the only artist in the genre currently on a weight loss journey. In October of last year, Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay revealed his own success of dropping 50 pounds.
At the time, Shay Mooney credited his weight loss success to ditching alcohol, clean eating, weight lifting, and going on regular walks.
Unfortunately, Chris Young was not as forthcoming with what allowed him to drop 60 pounds. But, his Instagram post did mention hitting the gym.

His Followers Celebrated Chris Young’s Thirst Trap Era
In a comment liked nearly 50 times, one fan celebrated this sexy side of getting to see a ripped, shirtless Chris Young. “Let’s go thirst trap era!” The excited fan penned.
Another fan admitted they thought Chris Young was fine before. And, they didn’t know how they were going to handle him losing weight and getting even more attractive.
Some fans begged him to do a before and after side-by-side. He also had fans ask where his inspiration to make this change came from.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Chris Young engaged with too many of his fans in the comments. His fans, however, were more than happy to talk to each other about how incredible he looked in the photo he shared.
