Jelly Roll was heartbroken during his previous trip to Walmart to find they sold no vinyls of his new music. However, it seems his luck finally changed after posting a viral video and performing at the Walmart Amphitheater.
Jelly Roll Previously Broken Hearted
Jelly, also known as Jason DeFord, is seen perusing through Walmart on a TikTok posted on June 6th, 2021. He was on the search for vinyl records of his latest album. As he gets closer to the vinyl aisle, Jelly Roll’s voiceover says “At this moment you can see the excitement in my waddle.”
He sees all his fellow musicians have their records for sale and Jason starts to panic. His new album is not there. A Walmart employee attempts to help Jelly but to no avail. Mr. DeFord does the walk of shame out of the Walmart store, hands empty.

Jelly Roll’s post ended up blowing up on social media. The TikTok post currently has over 800 thousand likes and 7.4 million views. The comments found it amusing that the store employee did not recognize the music artist.
Jelly Roll Returns To Walmart After Months
Jason DeFord finally made it back to Walmart yesterday August 25th, 2023. Luckily this trip ended in success. He posted his adventure on TikTok once again. This post is about 3 minutes long, compared to the prior being only 1 minute long. Jelly Roll politely kicks off the video by telling us he has his morning poop, and he tells the camera that performing at the Walmart Amphitheater made Jelly remember his previous betrayal. However, the artist also finds out that the city he was in, Rogers, Arkansas, was the home of Walmart.

Jelly Roll Hits Gold
Once again, Jelly Roll enters the establishment with confidence, this time getting a little sidetracked by the Halloween decor. Suddenly Jason exclaims, “That’s what I’m talking about, baby! Yes! Yes, baby! That’s what I’m talking about!” Lo and behold, there is an endcap full of Jelly Roll’s new record, and he could not be more excited about it. Jason grabs a handful of vinyl records and one of his CDs, showing it proudly to the camera. Not short after, the songwriter is surrounded and greets a few fans, who probably heard all his commotion. They parted ways, and Jelly turned a corner to find another shelf stocked full of his vinyls.

“You can tell how excited I really am, this is really a big deal to be in Walmart, y’all. This is really big for a kid like me.”
Jelly Roll begins collecting even more records, saying, “vinyls for everybody!” At this point, a few fans have gathered around Jason, so he spends some time conversing with each of them. He finishes his trip and shows off the record, saying his thank yous to Walmart and the fans that stopped to say hello.
