While it seems the country singer, Jelly Roll, mysteriously gained fame overnight, his rise to the spotlight highlights just how much a person can change their life if willing. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, the singer quickly found himself on the wrong side of the law when arrested. Although music helped rehabilitate him back into society, the country singer didn’t start out in country music. Due to his love for rappers like Three 6 Mafia, he pursued a career in hip-hop. But after finding his soul in country music, Jelly Roll went from ex-convict to member of the Grand Ole Opry. And now, after selling out the legendary Rupp Arena, the star couldn’t help but celebrate with the one that started it all – his mother.
Currently singing on his 2023 Backroad Baptism tour, Jelly Roll still has a way to go before the end of the tour in August 2024. Besides getting a chance to see the singer live, on select dates, fans can also see other artists like Chase Rice, Struggle Jennings, Ashley McBryde, and even Three 6 Mafia. Never forgetting where he came from and the music that inspired him, Jelly Roll loves nothing more than the family that supported him and guided him through his lowest time.
Celebrating With His Mother
As mentioned above, Jelly Roll welcomed his mother, who once worked with people who suffered from addiction issues, to the Rupp Arena in Kentucky. The singer posted a collage of pictures with his mother. The pair seemed overjoyed, especially when his mother got the chance to meet another one of her favorite singers, Struggle Jennings. The singer noted, “She loves Struggle to death.”

Sure to share just how much the moment meant to him, Jelly Roll wrote, “One of the collect experiences for me is when my mother makes it out for a show. I started writing songs because I seen how much she loved music and how much it helped her. I am grateful that she is able to see me perform at this level.”
Jelly Roll Give A Look Behind The Scenes In Kentucky
Although a picture is worth a thousand words, Jelly Roll decided to post a video of what it was like behind the scenes of his sold-out show at the Rupp Arena. With the entire crew in high spirits, the singer still made time to sit with his mother and relax. Take a look.

Jelly Roll’s love for his family is nothing new as earlier this month, he and his wife, Bunnie XO, welcomed her father, Bill, to their Nashville home. Having struggled with his ongoing cancer battle, Bill found his health rapidly declining. Not willing to stand by and watch, both Jelly Roll and Bunnie stepped in, making sure he got the care he needed. The pair updated fans after Bill started a new treatment and regained his energy. Bunnie wrote, “He hasn’t walked like this in months. This is huge”.
