Oliver Anthony, the artist who flew to fame from his song “Rich Men North Of Richmond,” will be dropping his first official album. In a recent interview, the artist allows fans a little more information about what is to come, and it is exciting!
Oliver Anthony’s 2024 Tour
About a week ago, Christopher Anthony Lunsford made the exciting news that he was going on his first tour. He is calling it “Out Of The Woods.” However, it is going to be quite an ambitious venture. A total of 44 concerts are lined up, with a handful of them will be in a completely different country. The 31-year-old artist is starting out in Sweden and will work his way through Norway, the Netherlands, Scotland, the UK, and Ireland. Of course, Oliver will be touring a majority of the United States as well. The tour will start in February 2024 and will end in September 2024. The performances will feature his yet-to-be-released album. However, not much is known about what his new songs envision.
I am getting flooded with messages about where to find 2024 tour tickets.

Oliver Anthony Releases Information About New Album
On November 14th, 2023, Christopher was interviewed by the news site Billboard. This is the information Oliver Anthony shared when asked about his new album:
“I don’t know if I can say who I’m recording with or not, but he’s one of the best in the business. In my opinion, it’s probably going to blow away everything else I’ve done so far, because everything has been recorded with just the internal microphone off of an about broken-in-half Android phone with a cracked screen. Even the radiowv videos used very basic equipment, so I had never had anything recorded with studio-quality equipment. So even just the vocal quality should absolutely knock people’s socks off, compared to what they’re used to hearing.”
He continued, “I want everything to still be authentic, and I want it to be me playing the music and not like a whole group of people involved. Everything now is just so carefully refined and edited and so we won’t have any of that. If anything, some of the songs are going to be recorded on older equipment from the ‘40s, ‘50s, ‘60s.”
Have been in the woods lately writing some songs and petting some dogs. Will be recording my first official album in January. Going to be recording outdoors, much like the RadioWv session videos you've seen popping up on YouTube recently, but with a few other instruments added. pic.twitter.com/FDAdZKuLRr

Oliver Anthony is about to step things up! It will be nice to hear the artist’s voice unobstructed by external sound. Many people enjoy his authentic and nature-based recordings. Oliver clearly has more interest in recording things humbly with equipment that any average person would have access to. He also typically works alone, without a giant band to have his back. It is simply just Christopher and his guitar. Perhaps that will change, though; the best art seems to come when two minds come together.

On that note, it also sounds like Anthony will be collaborating with a fellow artist, one well-established. Any guesses on who that could be?
