As you may know, Sam Hunt and his wife are already parents to their daughter Lucy Louise. But, they just had a new baby! Sam Hunt is a new dad again!
Sam Hunt, 38, and his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, welcomed their second baby together, Sam confirmed through a post shared on his Instagram on Friday.
They can be seen standing outside while holding his 18-month-old daughter, Lucy Louise, next to his wife Hannah, who held their newborn in her arms, in the photograph. Sam captioned the post, “Thank You Lord.” He did not reveal the baby’s name, sex, or birthdate.
Was The Baby Expected?
Back in April, a representative for the couple, confirmed that the pair was indeed, expecting their second baby together. This was after Sam announced the exciting news at his Las Vegas concert at Resorts World Theatre.
Previously, Sam Hunt announced that he and Hannah had welcomed their first child together during his set at Stars for Second Harvest, a charity event concert in Nashville in 2022.
Hannah Requested A Divorce
Hannah initially filed for a divorce in February 2022. Not long after, a judge signed off on Hannah’s request to call off their divorce. The couple then announced their news that they were expecting their second child together. She withdrew her initial complaints for the divorce hours later, then re-filed the same day, within a different county. A judge then approved her request in April 2022, according to documents obtained at the time.
Why Was A Divorce Necessary?
In Hannah’s filing, she stated Sam was guilty of “inappropriate marital conduct and adultery.” She then indicated that she believed ” all hopes of reconciliation are exhausted.”
“They are doing their best every day,” said a source, the pair who previously married in April 2017, after years of dating off and on. They added, “Sam and his wife, Hannah, are always looking forward to their next chapter. Sam is just thinking about his family and what’s to come.”
There is some confusion about if they are together or not at the moment. As you can see in the pic below, they look like a happy couple.

Sam Loves Being A Dad
Last September, Sam made an appearance on the Audacy’s Katie & Company podcast, where he said that he had been spending his free time “hanging out with my new baby girl as much as possible.” He continued,” Just staring at her, watching her grow little by little because when I leave, I realize how much she is growing. And I’m missing a little bit of it, but, when I’m home, I make sure not to miss any of it. So, I’ve really been enjoying being around her and her mom, and just experiencing the whole miracle of being a new dad.”
